The Basic Education Certificate Examination is the exam Ghanaian pupils sit at the end of junior high school. It is written nationally and marked by WAEC Ghana, and the aggregate a candidate earns is what the computerised school selection system uses to place them into senior high school.
Because placement depends on a single aggregate, the BECE rewards steady coverage rather than last-minute cramming. A candidate who is strong in three subjects and weak in three usually lands a worse aggregate than one who is solidly competent across the board.
DigiTransact Mastermind breaks the junior high curriculum into individual skills you can drill one at a time. You see exactly which topics are already secure and which are still costing you marks, months before the paper is in front of you.
Anyone in Basic 7 to Basic 9 building towards the exam, whether you are two years out or two months out.
Candidates re-sitting to improve an aggregate, who need to find and fix specific weak topics rather than start again.
Families who want visible evidence of progress at home instead of guessing whether revision is working.
Teachers setting targeted homework and tracking a whole class skill by skill.
These are the junior-high subjects currently available to practise, with the live number of skills and questions in each. Nothing is listed here that you cannot open today.
Every skill begins on a SmartScore of 0. Nothing is assumed about what you already know, so the score reflects your work and nothing else.
A correct answer pushes the score up; a wrong one pulls it back. Harder questions move the score further, so guessing your way up is not possible.
A worked explanation appears after each question — right or wrong — so the score rises because your understanding rose, not because you memorised an answer key.
A SmartScore of 100 means the skill is mastered. Your dashboard shows which skills are done and which still need work, so revision time goes where it counts.
For BECE revision the useful signal is not how many questions you answered — it is how many skills you have taken all the way to 100. Work through your weakest subject one skill at a time and the aggregate takes care of itself.
